Experience Description

NDE - Mazatlán The summer I turned 18, my siblings and I took a train to Mazatlán for a beach vacation. We had a great time going to the beach every day. One afternoon, I was alone in the Pacific Ocean, standing in chest-high warm water. A “parachute ride” ski boat was towing a parachute behind it with a thick rope. The boat came toward shore, swung around, then headed back out to sea. I didn’t see the ski boat as it was far in my blind spot. I also didn’t see the rope skimming inches above the water before it struck my jaw on the right side of my face. I heard and felt a sudden, loud pop. I was knocked unconscious and pushed underwater. Beneath the surface, I was no longer aware of my body. I was in a supernatural state, like a lucid dream. I was immersed in warm water, marveling at its warmth and blue color. I was surrounded by a feeling of comfort, warmth from the golden sunlight, and an overwhelming peace and love. I remember being pleasantly surprised that I could breathe underwater. It dawned on me that people shouldn’t be able to breathe underwater, and if I wanted to, I should stand up. It felt so peaceful, either choice would have been fine. There was no urgency, just a leisurely decision. When I stood, I looked around and saw no one else. It was just me, calmly standing in the warm water. If I hadn’t regained consciousness, I would’ve drowned. Strangely, it wasn’t traumatic. I didn’t choke on seawater or gasp for air. Instead, I felt deep love, peace, and connectedness. =============================================== **Experiencing Heaven (STE)** My son was born on a Tuesday morning in early June. At the time, our daughter was four, and we lived a few miles from the hospital. My wife went into labor around 3:30 a.m. We called our obstetrician, who told us to take our time and keep him updated. Soon after, her water broke in the bathroom. We grabbed our bags, rushed to the car, and sped toward the hospital. I parked so close to the entrance that the car triggered the automatic doors. Inside, a nurse told me to move the car, but I ignored her and ran back to my wife. Another woman was filling out paperwork, but my wife shouted, "I’m having this baby NOW!" They rushed her into a wheelchair, and we ran down the hallway. In the delivery room, nurses told her not to push because the doctor wasn’t there yet, but she had to. After a few minutes, I insisted, "Get a doctor in here, NOW!" A nurse ran out and returned with the on-duty doctor. He quickly performed an episiotomy, delivered the baby, cut the knotted cord, and unwrapped it from his neck. Our son was born nine minutes after we arrived. The doctor lifted the limp, blue baby and said, "Resuscitate this baby." My heart cried out to God. Then heaven opened—the ceiling turned cloudy, three angels hovered, and thunder roared as lightning flashed. At that exact moment, our son gasped his first breath. I had been standing beside my wife, witnessing heaven and earth simultaneously. The next thing I knew, a nurse handed me smelling salts. Our son was breathing, and they placed him on my wife’s chest. I demanded a pediatrician immediately, and soon he was taken to the NICU. He had aspirated fluid, and his APGAR score was zero. After five days, he was released. We’ve called him our "Miracle Baby" ever since. =============================================== **Experiencing Heaven Again (SDE)** Late one night, a nurse called: "If you want to say goodbye to your grandma, come now." I drove to the senior home, where my father and uncle were already with her. I sat at her bedside, resting a hand on her feet, praying as her breathing grew labored. Suddenly, she cried out. In that moment, we were in heaven. I was completely enveloped in God’s infinite love; golden, warm, forgiving, and joyous. It was a homecoming. =============================================== **Answers to Dr. Jeff Long’s Questions:** 1. **Did you lose consciousness when smelling salts were given? Was anyone else aware of the angels or thunder?** No, I remained fully conscious, aware of both earthly and heavenly events. Only I saw the angels, thunder, and lightning. 2. **Were you and your grandma aware of each other during her passing? Did your experience coincide with her death?** Yes, she was aware of me, and I of her. My experience began the moment she died.
