I was partly reclining in the converted van belonging to my son and his partner. They had converted the van together, and it was very dear to them. His partner had brought it to me a few weeks earlier. I was listening on YouTube to a hypnotherapist. He explained that he had become a hypnotherapist after undergoing a past life regression through hypnosis. He suddenly said that, for him, these were not past lives but simultaneous lives. His statement matched a theory I had formed about life based on my new knowledge of quantum physics. I was delighted to hear him say it. Suddenly, I felt my thorax begin to expand upward and beat like a heart. With each breath, it seemed to increase in height. My ribs were spreading so widely that I thought, "It is going to touch the ceiling. It is impossible for my rib cage to open this wide." As I looked upward above my belly, I saw that there was no longer a ceiling. My thorax had gone beyond the ceiling and seemed to occupy all the space above me. At that moment, I heard a man's voice behind my head and to the right. I did not see him because I did not turn my head. My head remained resting on the cushions. He said, "Look down." I lowered my eyes. Inside my belly, I could see buildings and landscapes from every era of the world. I was viewing them from very high above. I saw pyramids, Aztec buildings, cities with glass towers, medieval villages, and many other places. Above all these human constructions was a black sky filled with planets and stars. It was as if I were very high in the sky and could see everything at the same time. As I watched, the man remained behind my head to the right. He was explaining everything to me so that I could understand existence, life, time, death, and everything else. Suddenly, I understood absolutely everything. I thought, "Oh, but it is as simple as that. Obviously, it was easy to understand after all." Then something to my right caught my attention. I found myself in a city. In front of me was something like a wide, paved bridge. On the other side of the paved area stood very white, extremely tall billboards. They appeared to be about ten meters high. They also seemed to have depth, with light glowing from inside each enormous rectangle. I noticed that a letter was written on the first billboard. It was an "i." I began reading the billboards that followed it to the right. When I reached the end, I thought, "But that doesn't mean anything." It read, "iamhere." Suddenly, I realized that when the letters were separated into words, they read, "I am here." At the exact moment I understood this, I heard my son's voice. His voice came from the same place behind my head to the right where the man had been speaking to me. My son said, "That's it? Is that enough for you now? Did you understand?" His voice was very joyful. He was laughing a little. He sounded so happy that he had finally succeeded in making me understand. Then everything stopped. I heard the hypnotherapist speaking to my left through my phone. I immediately grabbed my phone to record a voice memo. I wanted to explain everything I had just experienced and understood. I could already feel the incredible and obvious knowledge that the man had explained to me beginning to disappear from my memory. I tried to speak into my phone, but my voice would not come out. My diary was beside me, so I began writing down what remained in my memory. I wrote what I have just recounted here. However, all the knowledge I had been given about the reality of how everything worked had disappeared. I was disappointed that I could no longer remember it. At the same time, I was in an extremely euphoric state because I had the certainty that my son was there somewhere around me. I did not know what that "there" was. I only knew that he seemed so happy. I became convinced that he was there. I had the wonderful feeling that we had finally understood each other. Somehow, we both knew that we were truly there together, in one way or another. After a few minutes, I calmly settled back onto the cushions. I do not actually know how long I remained there savoring that feeling of certainty. I felt an incredible sense of serenity. I decided to reopen the YouTube tab on my phone. The video had paused when I tried to record my voice memo. I pressed play. The hypnotherapist immediately said, "For my part, I speak rather of simultaneous lives." The interview was at exactly the same sentence I had been listening to before the experience began. No time had passed during the entire experience. The video had remained at that exact point until I paused the YouTube tab to try to record my voice memo.
